Workshop Highlights

Join us for an engaging discussion and demonstration by Chris Lacinak, a professional drummer with over 40 years of performance experience. Chris will share invaluable insights from his extensive career, covering various aspects of the music industry.


Topics include:

  1. Living in major music meccas like NYC, LA, Nashville, and Colorado.

  2. Composing, recording, producing, and licensing music (ASCAP, BMI, etc.).

  3. Essential skills to help you get and keep the gig.

Chris will delve into his experiences with touring, music production (original and commercial projects), working in major music cities, and the crucial skills needed to thrive in the industry. Additionally, he will provide a captivating demonstration of ethnic beats and rhythms, accompanied by Michael Noble-Hodge. This unique working artist session is organized by BRMS vocal/piano instructor, Jaci Guidry.


About Chris Lacinak

Growing up in New Orleans, Chris honed his skills gigging and learning from some of the city's greatest musicians. With a background that includes touring with various acts and living in major music cities, Chris has published two drum method books, conducted drum clinics worldwide, and founded Drumparade Records. His wealth of experience makes him an ideal speaker for this workshop.
