About

The Young Band Nation program at Baton Rouge Music Studios is an instructor led rock band incubator for preteens and teens ages 10 - 18.

In place for over 15 years, Young Band Nation is the longest running program of its type in the Baton Rouge capital region. Members practice together once a week, and play shows at local venues once a month.

I've been part of Baton Rouge Music Studio's Young Band Nation program for about a year-and-a-half now. Since then, I have grown so much with the help of my band mates and the staff. There are so many performance opportunities and so many new experiences. If you want to be in a band and don't know where to start or want to pursue music professionally, I 100% recommend this program. I've been able to connect with people who share the common interest of music through this program, and I find that when I'm performing, I can't help but smile. Asher France, student

Practice is led by a dedicated instructor, most of whom are also professional musicians, and students learn so much more than music. From proper stage etiquette, to how to solve problems as a group, the Young Band program is designed with the intention to nurture student’s creativity and technical skill, while also challenging them to grow as humans.

Located in the heart of Mid City in Baton Rouge, members also have access to private lessons through our parent company, Baton Rouge Music Studios

To learn more about our homegrown musical community, give us a call or stop by and take a tour!

This music program, as far as I'm concerned, is the best in Baton Rouge and maybe even the best in Louisiana. They've just been so hands on and given them so much opportunity to perform and that really is the key [for my son], performance. He gets to go out in front of people and play. Thiravat Choojitarom, parent of student in Young Band Nation
